BARNES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP was established by Mr. THE BRYANT BARNES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP was established in 2014 and is awarded to a needy and worthy church related vocations student.The scholarship is granted to a deserving Christian student. Bill Baker gave to William Carey University as a faculty member on the coast campus and for the Bakers’ long commitment to Christian education. BILL AND JILL BAKER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP has been established in 2010 in appreciation for the years of teaching and service Dr. Bailey’s estate for the purpose of aiding needy students. THE BESSIE MISTERFELDT BAILEY MEMORIAL FUND was established in 1992 from Ms.Howard Wilson Bahr, benefactor of the university, to support worthy students. THE HOWARD WILSON BAHR SCHOLARSHIP was established in 1989 from the estate of Dr.The scholarship is awarded to a student in the field of religious education. THE LILLIAN LOTT AULTMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP was established in 1968 by the family of Lillian Lott Aultman, a 1952 graduate of Mississippi Woman’s College to honor her memory.A stipend from the endowment accompanies the award and will be credited to the recipient’s tuition. Preference is given to a student who is committed to practice in Mississippi. THE ASBURY ENDOWED COM SCHOLARSHIP was established by the Asbury Foundation of Hattiesburg, this scholarship is given to the freshman student from the eight county service area who has the highest GPA during the first year of medical school.THE VIRGINIA ANGELICO AND JOSEPH FRANKLIN TATUM SCHOLARSHIP.The scholarship awards are made to art majors. Charles Ambrose taught art at William Carey College from 1982-1988. THE AMBROSE MEMORIAL ART SCHOLARSHIP was established in memory of Marc Carroll Ambrose, Betty Rainer Ambrose, and Charles Ambrose by family and friends.Children of employees of the university are not eligible. THE ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP was established by alumni of the university to assist the child or grandchild of an alumnus.
